The internet is a huge and overwhelming world that us the consumer can become lost in very, very quickly.

Whether we are looking for something to buy from ebay to researching how to make a fulltime living online, we encounter similar hurdles and problems along the way. The problem is that we can suffer from information overload, we may go onto ebay looking for a piece of jewellery as a gift (you could be in the bad books or you may be doing it out of the goodness of your heart) lets hope you are doing it out of the goodness of your heart .

But we type in the search term into the Ebay search engine to find there are 1000’s of listings!!

Why am i getting at this, well in my early days of trying to make money on the internet. I came across a lot of “Internet Marketing Info”. Some which was good, some which was well… Not so good

You see, I have been through my struggles in life (Don’t get me wrong, God has blessed me with a great life) but I have created many problems along the way and most of my worries were of the “Financial Kind”

I was in $70,000 debt, I saw my parents lose close to $50,000 from a terrible land lord and at that stage I felt very down and depressed. I knew I didn’t want to see my parents struggle and I knew that the conventional way of making money was not as “stable as it used to be”

But one day I was reasearching on Google I wanted to see what other opportunities were out there on how to make money. And I cam across many “Get Rich Quick Products” some which I fell for I might add .

And I hate to think how much I spent on rehashed garbage products, but they all did teach me something , so I should not complain too much.

But all that kept playing in my mind was ;

• That I wanted financial security for my family
• And that I was sick of making others rich (Pre dominately my boss and landlord)

So I have been search far and wide over the last 2 years and I have come across some great informtion on the net and I am going to give you 7 pieces of the puzzle.

Here are my “7 Pieces of Internet Marketing Information”

1. You need to find yourself a mentor. Someone whom you can work with and who has experienced all the ups and downs and can lead you on the path to success quickly. (John Delavera) was a great mentor to me and still is.
2. What you should look out for in a mentor. You need to find a mentor that will help you no matter what, someone who doesn’t charge you per question (Yes some do that!). I am not saying they will do it for free but if you know the outllay up front it makes it far easier to get a plan and then go full steam ahead.
3. Your mentor should help you create your first product. With acquiring the help of a mentor they should help you with everything from getting the right mindset, to learning crucial techniques to help your business, and then lastly helping you to create your own product.
4. That leads me to creating your own product. Creating your own product is crucial to have a sustainable and prosperous career online. You see you make more money, and then you have people working for you so you are the boss not some other merchant whose product you are selling as an affiliate.
5. You must be the boss. You have to build a “team” around you, so you must be the leader of your team “The Guru” , “The Coach”, “The Boss.” You must build a great team around you, you will need to have
   a graphic designer, an article writer and so on and so on. You must have “staff” because without them your business can’t grow.
6. You must have a plan. You have to be accountable, you must have daily, weekly, monthly, half yearly and longer term goals. Which you have to hold yourself accountable for, so if you don’t reach your goals you have to look at yourself and ask why you did not reach them.
7. Treat your internet marketing business as a business. You must realise that because you are on a computer and sitting in your “home office” it does not mean that this is not a serious business, because it is…

And the earlier you see this the better it is for the longevity for you Internet Marketing business….
